Chris Dittmann Racing made their first driver announcement for the upcoming season signing Charlie Edge for his first British F4 campaign.
The young man from Worcestershire has been part of the teams driver development programme since mid-2024, competing and winning the N35 Lightweights Daytona Championship in 2023 securing 15 podiums across the season. At the end of 2023 he would then compete in the Daniel Ricciardo 'DRS100' series and would continue to do so throughout 2024. He would go on to finish in the top 10 several times across the season.
In the meantime, he was doing simulator work for Chris Dittmann Racing throughout the second half of 2024 before doing on track testing later in the year in preparation for the 2025 championship quest.
He has committed to a two year programme with the team, initially focusing on the Rookie Cup before turning his attention to the overall championship in 2026.
After signing with the team, Charlie Edge said: “Working with the team at Chris Dittmann Racing over the last nine months has been amazing, and the support from everyone there during that time has been incredible. I’m feeling really excited about my first season in British F4 and am looking forward to the first race weekend in April. With the team’s help, some good results will definitely be possible.”
Team Owner, Chris Dittmann also said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Charlie to the team for his debut season in the F4 British Championship. He’s made fantastic progress through our driver development programme, showing great promise both on the simulator and during on-track testing. It’s going to be a tough and competitive grid, but Charlie’s dedication and talent make us confident he’ll adapt quickly. We’re looking forward to supporting him as he develops and aims for strong performances, particularly in the Rookie Cup, throughout the season.”
