Xcel Motorsport have announced that Cole Hewetson will return to the series with the team for 2026.

Hewetson is no stranger to the series after a solid 2025 rookie campaign where he took third in the Rookie Cup standings with nine podiums in the Cup including a victory. He finished behind only eventual Rookie and Overall champion Fionn McLaughlin as well as Hitech teammate Thomas Bearman. Hewetson finished sixteenth in the overall standings with a second-place finish in the penultimate race of the season at Brands Hatch with top ten finishes posted throughout the season.

With the announcement, Cole Hewetson said: “I’m excited to confirm that I’ll be returning to the British F4 Championship in 2026. After gaining valuable experience in my rookie year, I’m motivated to build on what I’ve learned and come back stronger for my second season and finish high up the order.

“I’m also proud to continue with Xcel Motorsport, and I’m looking forward to working closely with the team as we push for strong results throughout the year. I can’t wait to get back on track and see what we can achieve together in 2026.”

Dan Hart, Xcel Motorsport Team Manager for British F4, said: “We’re really pleased to be continuing with Cole into the 2026 season. He showed excellent progress throughout his rookie year, demonstrated great race craft, and delivered some very strong results. Cole has a fantastic attitude and work ethic, and we’re excited to see how he develops as he looks to build on last year’s success.”
