Ethan Jeff-Hall took his first win of the season at the opening race of the weekend at Brands Hatch making it four winners in four races.

Qualifying saw Adam Al Azhari claim pole position for Hitech for race one ahead of the Argenti of Jeff-Hall after the grid of 30 drivers was split into two groups for the short circuit as both drivers took pole for their respective groups.

At the start it would be Jeff-Hall who got the better getaway compared to Al Azhari but on the run down to Druids Al Azhari was that much later on the brakes pushing Jeff-Hall to the outside of the circuit while also maintaining the position. Behind them, Theo Palmer would make a lunge on Tommy Harfield into the final corner but to no avail as Harfield maintains the place. He would now have to defend against Lewis Wherrell after having a poor start from third was aiming to make those positions back, forcing Palmer to have to defend into Paddock Hill Bend taking him off-line before completing the move into Druids. However, racing would have to come to a halt with a red flag as multiple drivers off the circuit and out the race on the opening lap.

The race would be restarted from the grid start as Jeff-Hall would get an even better getaway than before managing to use his momentum to get passed on the exit of Paddock Hill Bend. Al Azhari would keep pressure on him while Harfield also maintains pace with the pair. However, a Safety Car would have to be deployed as Henry Mercier would be stopped on circuit at Graham Hill Bend.

The race would get back under way with just under ten minutes to go as Palmer would look to repass Wherrell into Paddock Hill Bend but unable to complete the move which would end up forcing him to have to look in his mirrors on the run into Druids. However, out front it would be Jeff-Hall and Al Azhari pulling away from the rest of the field as the drivers on the front row showing excellent pace. Al Azhari would try everything to get back into the lead but he was unable to do so leaving Jeff-Hall to take victory in an excellent show of composure ahead of Al Azhari and Harfield. Wherrell would take the Rookie cup victory finish fourth overall ahead of Palmer and Jarrett Clark. Dries Van Langendonck would finish seventh while Timo Jüngling, Scott Kin Lindblom and Ethan Lennon complete the top ten.

This gives Jeff-Hall a four point championship lead over Van Langendonck heading into the rest of the weekend while Palmer, Joseph Smith and Lindblom sit further back completing the top five.
