The first race of the Oulton Park race weekend would see Fionn McLaughlin take victory in a controlled race and excellent pace.

Martin Molnár would start on pole ahead of McLaughlin and the start for the championship rivals would be critical. With McLaughlin getting off the line better, Molnár would try and defend but it was thwarted by McLaughlin who flies by and takes the lead.
Incidents on lap 1 left 5 drivers out of the race early on including Thomas Bearman, Theo Palmer, Chase Fernandez, Rowan Campbell-Pilling and August Raber all out of the race.
From then on, it was textbook from the Red Bull junior as he takes the win ahead of Molnár by just under a second as the pole sitter tried to pressure him but was unable to stop the Irishman. This would leave the pair just separated by 4 points in the favour of Molnár.
The final podium spot was taken by Henry Joslyn ahead of Tommy Harfield and Ary Bansal who round out the top five. Leo Robinson and Ethan Jeff-Hall would finish 6th and 7th while Ella Lloyd completes the Challenge Cup podium. Yuhao Fu finished 9th while Cole Hewetson finished inside the top 10 and second in the Rookie Cup.
