CDR announce their second driver for the upcoming season with Tommy Harfield making the step up to British F4.

Harfield began karting at the age of nine, winning multiple club races and championships before competing in the mini X30 British Kart Championship, rounding out the season in the top 10 in the standings. After this he competed in the Junior Rotax series claiming wins and podiums before making the step up to cars.
Harfield raced last year in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship having consistently qualified on the front row, claiming two wins at Croft before an injury forced him to miss the final three rounds. But after impressing throughout the year and also taking part in multiple test days with CDR, he has been announced to be racing with them in 2025.
After signing, Tommy Harfield said: “I’m super excited to move to the F4 British Championship this year. Chris Dittmann Racing have made me feel so welcome and I have some amazing people helping me to learn and adjust. It’s very different from the front wheel drive Fiesta, but the last two guys that made this step went on to win in F4 and become Silverstone Autosport BRDC Award winners, so maybe this is the route to take! I’m getting more and more comfortable every time I drive the car and even though it’s a big step, I fully intend to be pushing for strong results from the start of the season.”
Team Principal Chris Dittman said: “We’re really pleased to have Tommy join our F4 British Championship line-up this season. He’s been working hard as part of our driver development programme, and his performances in the Fiesta Junior Championship last year showed his natural talent and determination. F4 is a big step, and it’s going to be a competitive grid, but Tommy has a great attitude and is eager to learn. We’re looking forward to seeing him develop throughout the season and push for strong results.”
