British F4: Yuhao Fu makes the jump to Xcel Motorsport for 2025

Xcel Motorsport has announced Yahao Fu will join them for the upcoming British F4 season!

Fu finished 18th in the overall standings last season and brought home 6th in the Rookie Cup as part of the Virtuosi Team last season.

The young Chinese driver made the step up from karting at the end of 2023 to race in the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship before racing in the 2024 F4 UAE Winter Series. This would lead to him racing in British F4 last year alongside a Chinese F4 campaign where he would claim five podiums. At the final round at the Zhuhai International Circuit, he would claim his first two victories which would help him the fourth in the overall standings despite only competing in three of the five rounds in the Chinese F4 season.

He would also do well in the Rookie Cup for British F4, claiming the Rookie Cup win in the opening race of Thruxton and taking a class podium later that season at Silverstone. Throughout the season, Fu showed a lot of improvement and is looking to make a solid gain on rivals for the upcoming season.

After the end of the 2025 British F4 season, Yuhao Fu went to race in the 2024 F4 UAE Trophy Series and the 2025 F4 Middle East Championship with the Xcel Motorsport team in which he will race with for 2025 in British F4.

With the announcement of Fu, Xcel Motorsports Team Manager, Paul Hardy, said: “Yuhao has shown tremendous growth since joining us. His work ethic, adaptability, and raw speed are very good. We’re eager to continue building on the momentum we’ve created together in the UAE.”
