The British GT Championship returned to Snetterton, and the 2 Seas Motorsport squad put in an excellent performance to take a 1-2 in the opening race of the weekend all while Optimum Motorsports Jack Brown and Marc Warren would take victory in GT4.

Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss started from pole after a strong qualifying and managed to maintain the lead on the first lap after the Aston Martin of Giacomo Petrobelli tried to make an overtake for the lead into the Wilson hairpin. Dawson would go on to pull away from the rest of the field before making a switch to Jewiss for the rest of the race. The margin would be benefitted by the Blackthorn Aston Martin having to serve the maximum Compensation Time for winning the race in Spa-Francorchamps.
Jewiss would have a ten second lead over teammate Maximilian Götz after they jumped the Blackthorn Aston Martin due to Compensation Time. Jewiss would end up taking victory by a significant margin over teammate Götz all while he was being hunted down by the Barwell Motorsport Lamborghini of Jack Mitchell who took third place. The Blackthorn Aston Martin would end the race in 4th place as the additional pit stop time really cost the team while Paddock Motorsport would finish in 5th with Mark Smith and Martin Plowman.
The GT4 class would not be as plain sailing for the eventual race winner. Warren would start in second behind Luca Hopkinson but a collision between them on the opening lap would drop Warren down to third behind Josh Miller and Hopkinson. Warren would remain close enough to the silver drivers across the first stint, not allowing them to get away as when they came into the pits, the two leaders would have to serve an extra 14 seconds stationary in the pitstops.
The third placed car would pit first to swap to Jack Brown and tape up the car after the collision at the start of the race. Meanwhile, behind them the Century BMW of Ravi Ramyead and Ian Duggan would take second after jumping the three silver rated cars before having to serve a time penalty for track limits. This would allow the now leading McLaren to cruise to victory while the battle for the Silver Class victory was on. The #84 Ginetta would need to fight off Harry George and his McLaren as he piled more pressure on before a slide cost him as he tried to make a mov at Williams, giving the second place in class and Silver drivers win to the Ginetta squad while George would round out the podium. The Century Motorsport BMW that had been penalised of Ramyead and Robertson would finish 4th while the Mahiki Ginetta of Joe Wheeler and Ian Duggan would take home a top 5 spot.
