Ross Gunn and Andrew Howard have been announced to be driving for Beechdean AMR for the upcoming British GT Season.

Gunn is currently a works driver for Aston Martin as he makes his return to the championship in 2025. Starting his career in BRDC Formula 4 in 2013, he would take two race wins in his debut season in cars. He would finish that season eleventh in the standings after not starting in the last two events. He would return to racing in 2015 where he would join Jamie Chadwick in British GT in the GT4 Category racing for Beechdean-AMR that season. The pair would go on to win the championship that season claiming two wins and six podiums on their way to the title.

He would then partner with Howard for their 2016 campaign in the GT3 category. Howard was previously the mentor of Gunn in his early years in racing, and the pair have proven to be a strong force together. Howard has competed with Beechdean AMR for many years, claiming podiums with the team and scoring consistently. They would claim a podium at Rockingham and another few points finishes in the early part of the season. They would both miss the Snetterton round as Gunn would not return for the finale either.

Gunn would go on to compete in various international series over the next few years competing in ELMS, Blancpain GT Series, and WEC with one off appearances in British GT in 2019 and 2021. He would return to the championship for eight rounds in 2023 racing with Beechdean AMR alongside Howard claiming eighth in the standings with 2 podiums on the season. After two years out of the championship racing in IMSA, IGTC, WEC and GT World Challenge, he returns to Beechdean AMR for 2026. Howard meanwhile took the Silver-Am championship with Tom Wood last season, but with Gunn’s platinum status as a driver, the team will move to Pro-Am for 2026.

With the announcement, Ross Gunn said: “I’m so excited to be back in the British GT Championship for 2026 and to have the opportunity, as part of the Aston Martin Racing family, to race again with Beechdean AMR and with Andrew. From watching my dad race Beechdean Minis when I was little, to the support Andrew’s given me through my career, there’s always been a strong link between myself and the team and it’s brilliant to be back. Andrew’s coming into the season as the reigning Silver-Am champion and finished 2025 on such strong form, so my target is to pick up where we left off and be fighting to finish at the sharp end.”

Andrew Howard added: “It was brilliant to get back to championship-winning ways in 2025 and to finish on the podium at the 24 Hours of Spa. For 2026 we’re aiming even higher as we return to the Pro-Am class with a livery that might remind a few people of some fantastic past times and target the overall podium from the get-go. Having Ross back is brilliant. He’s been a regular in the garage since he was a child, and it’s been awesome to watch his career go from strength to strength since he first raced with Beechdean AMR in 2015. I’m looking forward to the coming season more than I have done for a long time.”
