Greystone GT will return to the British GT Championship with the lineup that had previously had a one off appearance at the Spa-Francorchamps round last season. Andrey Borodin and Oli Webb will make their return to the team with the new McLaren 720S GT3 in a full time campaign.
Borodin made his debut in 2021 scoring multiple podiums in the GT Cup with Greystone. Before he makes his return to British GT, he will race in the opening round of the GT Cup at Donighton Park before competing in British GT the following month.
His co-driver, Webb, won the McLaren Trophy Europe 570S title last year with Greystone GT while also competing in the International GT Open with Borodin giving these two some already good experience working with one another. Webb is also an outright winner of the Dubai 24 Hours and the 2014 ELMS overall champion giving him a solid pedigree in the sport.
Greystone GT Team Principle, Mark McLoughlin, said: “I’m very excited to welcome Andrey and Oli back to the British GT Championship after spending 2024 in the International GT Open. The UK circuits are some of the most challenging in the world and this generally brings out the very best in both our Pro and Am drivers.”
“Winter preparations have gone very well with testing and the Portimao six-hour race and Andrey’s progress since his last full season in British GT has been significant. This will be the first full-season campaign for Andrey where he’ll be familiar with all the circuits on the calendar. That, combined with Oli’s undoubted speed and championship-winning experience, means we can aim for some good results across the year.”
