Innovation Racing are set to make their British GT debut in 2026 with Thomas Holland and Hadley Simpson signed to race for them.

Driving the Ginetta G56 Evo GT4, the team is used to GT competition racing in the GT Cup last season with the G55 GT4 while also having fifthteen years of racing experience at Club and National level championships. Now the team joins British GT in their first attempt at the top GT category in Britain.

The drivers they chose already have experience in Ginetta based cars. Holland, who has previously contested in British GT, drove in the Ginetta GT Academy and the G40 category before stepping up to race in the G56 Evo in 2023 and 2024 in the championship. He raced in McLaren Trophy Europe last year before now rejoining the GT4 class of the British GT Championship.

Meanwhile, Simpson will make his British GT Championship after spending last year competing in the Ginetta GT Championship and a GT Cup Campaign with Innovation Racing. The pair of drivers step into the category with experience in hand to help the team push forward for gold in 2026.

After signing with the team, Thomas Holland, said: “I’m really excited to be returning to the British GT paddock for this year, a paddock in which I started my racing career back in 2020 in the GRDC championship. I’ve gotten to know the G56 over my last two stints in British GT and believe that, along with the team, we will be able to get the most out of the car this year. Innovation is such a welcoming team and I’m looking forward to working with them for the year ahead and showing everyone how competitive we can be. For 2026 we race in aid of Cancer Research UK. I would like to thank my new financial partners Hoover who will join previous partners Gnosis Executive and Brim Chargers and I hope to make them proud this year by bringing home some good results on and off the track.”

Hadley Simpson added: “I am incredibly excited to announce my step up to the British GT Championship with Innovation Racing alongside Thomas Holland. From competing in Innovation’s very first race to now signing for British GT is a huge moment for both myself and the team. I’m proud to continue being part of this journey and can’t thank Simon Griffiths and everyone at Innovation Racing enough for the opportunity. Thomas brings a huge amount of experience to the line-up and I’m looking forward to learning and progressing alongside my new team-mate. To be competing on the biggest stage in British motorsport means a lot, and I can’t wait to see all the fans this season.

Team Owner of Innovation Racing, Simon Griffiths, commented: “We are thrilled to announce the addition of Thomas and Hadley to our team as we kick off our inaugural season in the British GT Championship, driving our newly acquired Ginetta G56 GT4 Evo. It fills me with immense pride to reflect on the remarkable journey my team has undertaken over the past year. Transitioning from 15 years of club sport racing to establishing ourselves as a professional race team has been a monumental achievement, and now we are poised to compete at the highest level of GT racing in the UK. I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me in reaching this pinnacle of motorsport; while I cannot name everyone individually, they know who they are and their contributions have been invaluable. As we prepare for the upcoming season, I am eager to see how we measure up against some of the finest GT racing teams in Europe, and I am confident that our hard work and dedication will shine through on the track.
