Dan Cammish claimed his second win of the season at Donighton Park after a chaotic race with all sorts of shocking moments.

After taking victory in race one, Tom Chilton lined up on pole ahead of Tom Ingram and Dan Rowbottom who all have to start on the hard tyres as the rest of the field started on mediums.

The Team Vertu Hyundai's initially made the defense into the first turn as Ash Sutton moves passed Rowbottom for third place. Ingram started defending hard against his championship rival as Sutton looked to get passed quickly to then attack Chilton for the lead.

But, before Sutton could try and make a move on Ingram, a Safety Car would have to be deployed for an incident further back between Senna Proctor, Aiden Moffat and Sam Osborne as they all collide after Proctor spins on the grass and go off into the gravel. This sent Proctor out of the race but the BMW and Ford managed to get going again. The big gainers from the opening lap would be Daryl DeLeon and Josh Cook as both drivers gain four places on the opening lap.

The restart would be chaos up front as Ingram would go for a move into the first corner on Chilton before Sutton would be hit from behind by Rowbottom spinning him towards both the Hyundai's. While Ingram got away mostly unscathed with minor contact, Sutton went into the path of Chilton causing both drivers to lose a number of positions as Sutton tried to collect himself. Only a few corners later, Sutton would get caught up in another incident with Árón Taylor-Smith as they both go off into the gravel at the Old Hairpin dropping Sutton down to 15th.

The battle for the lead would become Ingram and Dan Cammish as the Hyundai had to defend hard against the Ford behind him. Cammish would go for a move on lap 6 into Coppice getting up the inside before using the softer compound of tyre to get the better exit to take the lead. Ingram would try to put pressure on the NAPA driver in front but Cammish would not be deterred. On lap 7, Adam Morgan would go for a late dive up the inside into the Melbourne hairpin on his teammate to take second place and set his sights on Cammish in front.

After being caught up in the earlier collision, Rowbottom would make his way passed Chilton to get into 13th place as the Hyundai struggled for pace. Chilton would drop another two places to Moffat and Doble to drop him out the points.

On lap 9, Jake Hill would manage to get the run up the inside of the Melbourne hairpin to manage to move up to seventh place dropping Dan Lloyd to eighth. Hill would continue to make progress at the end of lap 10 to pass Gordon Shedden before Shedden managed to get back up the inside into Redgate to briefly reclaim the position temporarily. Hill would manage to get the run on exit to finalise the move into the Old Hairpin to take sixth place.

Taylor-Smith would defend from Charles Rainford on lap 12 into the final corner before contact between the pair on exit unsettled the BMW and sent him spinning down to nineteenth place after fighting for tenth. Hill would continue his charge up the order to claim fifth place as he overtakes Smiley.

The race would soon be flipped on its head as the heavens open at McLeans' as drivers fall off the circuit and into the gravel including the majority of the race leaders. While everyone who went off managed to get it back on the road, it shuffled the grid significantly due to the unexpectedly soaked part of the circuit. The rain would soon cover the whole circuit and a Safety Car would be deployed due to safety as the drivers were on dry tyres.

The race would finish under Safety Car meaning Cammish would take victory in race two ahead of Morgan and Shedden. Smiley would take fourth place overall and the Independents victory while Ingram would drop to fifth due to the sudden rain. DeLeon would take sixth ahead of Cook and Taylor-Smith while Sutton would finish ninth and Hill rounds out the top ten.

However, the race result would be amended after Smiley was disqualified for failing ride height checks boosting everyone from fifth downwards up a position meaning his teammate Lloyd would take tenth overall and the Independent honours.

Cammish would pull out ball number 8 in the reverse grid draw for race three which meant Sutton started on pole ahead of Taylor-Smith, Cook and DeLeon.
