An exciting race 2 saw Jake Hill start on pole once again ahead of Charles Rainford as the pairing took an excellent one-two in race 1.

They went side by side into turn 1 unchallenged from the pack behind. Hill would maintain his lead while the championship leader of Tom Ingram struggled due to being on the hard compound tyres.

Cammish meanwhile, would get by both the Hyundai's of Ingram and Adam Morgan to make his way up to third place. Sutton, after using his hard tyres in race one, began his push up the field gaining a couple of places in the opening laps.

Ingram would continue to fall down the order as Dan Lloyd got into a scuffle with multiple other drivers that ended up forcing him into the pits and would come back out quite far behind the field. In this time, Cammish would make his way past Rainford and would start challenging Hill for first.

A crash between the Cupra's of Hall and Patterson would cause a safety car as both went off at Paddock Hill Bend bunching the field back up for a Safety Car restart.

After the Safety Car was said to be coming into the pits, Cammish would have a mechanical issue causing the pack to bunch up behind him as the BMW of Moffat would go into the back of him due to being unsighted as the pack tried to avoid Cammish.

After that a second attempt at a Safety Car restart, DeLeon in second would get the jump on his now vulnerable teammate of Hill on the hards and without any turbo boost left. Hill and Rainford defend hard from the rest of the field while Sutton and Morgan try to fight through the BMW's. Rainford gets by Hill as he began to drop away being passed by Morgan and Sutton in the next few laps.

Contact between the Astra of Doble and the BMW of Moffat sent the Vauxhall spinning to the back of the pack. DeLeon continued to pull away as Morgan tried to catch up but it would not be enough as the 19 year old would take his first win in the BTCC in an excellent race and a well earned drive.

Morgan would finish in second ahead of Sutton whose back on the podium. Smiley would take the Independents win with 4th place overall and Moffat would round out the top 5. Cook and Rainford would finish ahead of pole sitter Hill while Rowbottom and Pearson round out the top 10.

Race 3 will see the grid reversed from 9th meaning Daniel Rowbottom will start on pole ahead of Hill and Rainford for the final race of the day.
