The third race weekend of the BTCC season commences with the first practice session of the day being topped by Jake Hill.
Hill went fastest early on ahead of Ash Sutton, Dan Cammish, Arón Taylor-Smith and Tom Chilton as the top 5 before a red flag was thrown half way through the session.
Once the session was back under way Hill remained on top until the checkered flag ahead of Charles Rainford and Sutton, before the NAPA driver was usurped by his teammate Cammish and BMW's Daryl DeLeon.
Taylor-Smith and Daniel Rowbottom would finish the session just outside of the top 5 with Josh Cook, Tom Ingram and Aiden Moffat rounding out the top 10.
The BMW squad looking to remain on form after an excellent Brands Hatch Indy round with the Hyundai's and Ford's looking on pace as well by the end of the opening session of the day.
