Dan Cammish would start on pole after his race one victory with Tom Chilton alongside. Adam Morgan and Charles Rainford would start on the second row ahead of Ingram. Chilton would get an exceptional start passing Cammish at the start while Rainford would also make overtakes on Morgan and Cammish as well into Paddock Hill bend. Rainford would pull alongside Chilton to try and overtake around the outside of Druids but the Hyundai crucially defended that.

Ingram would manage to pick his way passed Morgan after his mistake before making his way passed Cammish to get into the final podium spot. Cammish would try to defend before making contact with Sutton on the exit of Surtees. Sutton had made up four places on the opening lap. Ingram would make his way into second by sending it up the inside of Rainford to get by the BMW. Sutton would also gain a place passing Cammish tor fourth.

On lap three, Ingram would get the better exit at Graham Hill bend using the run to pass Chilton to take the lead of the race. Further back in the field, Hill had made his way to twelfth from nineteenth as he tries to make a comeback. On lap four, Sutton would make a move for third, passing Rainford at Westfield to claim the final podium spot. Only half a lap later, Rainford's race would end after dropping a few more places and contact with Taylor-Smith who hits him off at turn one which caused a Safety Car.

The race would get back underway on lap nine which saw Ingram pull a small margin over Chilton as he defended from Sutton. Hill would make his way passed the Toyota's of Cook and Taylor-Smith to move into eighth place. On lap ten though, contact between Cook and Taylor-Smith sent Taylor-Smith off the road and into the barriers at Druids to cause another Safety Car. During the Safety Car, Chilton would have an issue which forced him to stop and end his race from second leaving the championship rivals to lead the race.

On lap fourteen, the race would get back underway for the final five laps, Ingram would need to pull a gap to Sutton quickly while the rest of the field scrap for position. Cammish would defend from Proctor as the Hyundai, who had made a few places off this restart, looked to get into a podium place. Shedden would join this battle, forcing Proctor to have to defend and split his focus between attacking and defending. Proctor would go late on the brakes at Surtees to pass Cammish to claim the final podium spot on lap sixteen.

Hill would lose a position to Cook on the same lap to drop to eighth while also allowing Rowbottom to pull a gap. Shedden would apply pressure to Cammish on the penultimate lap, looming in the mirrors and unsettling the Ford at every corner. He would make the cutback at the final corner to use the run onto the main straight to claim fourth in an excellent move. On the final lap, Rowbottom would try to lass Cammish while Hill tried to pass Cook. Cammish would manage to defend from his teammate while Hill completed the pass on Cook to reclaim seventh.

Out front though, Ingram crossed the line to take victory and win the championship, locking the brakes to celebrate his second BTCC title in astonishing fashion.

Sutton would settle for second place ahead of Proctor and Shedden. Cammish would finish ahead of Rowbottom and Hill, while Cook, Moffat and Morgan complete the top ten.

While the drivers championship was wrapped up, all four other championships were still up for grabs into the final race.

The Independents Drivers championship sees Dan Lloyd lead by eight points over Mikey Doble while Chris Smiley is only three points further back. The Independents Teams Championship had already been decided at Silverstone with Restart Racing claiming the title.

The Jack Sears trophy saw Daryl DeLeon lead teammate Charles Rainford by five points heading into the final race of the weekend with an excellent battle between the two still to come.

The Manufacturers Championship and Teams championship has Hyundai / Team Vertu and Ford / NAPA Racing fighting for the titles with only a couple of points between them.
