Dan Lloyd started on pole ahead of Jake Hill and Gordon Shedden while Senna Proctor and Josh Cook start just behind. Tom Ingram and Ash Sutton both starting in the top ten as both championship rivals aim to hit the front in race two. During the formation lap, Dan Cammish had to pull into the pitlane due to an engine issue leaving him out of the race.

Hill would get a good start to pull alongside Lloyd as they go into the first turn. Hill would complete the move on Lloyd heading into Becketts as Ingram would make up four places on the opening lap alone with the soft tyres and extra boost in comparison to the first race and his close rivals. Sutton would also make up three places himself to put himself in a good position. Ingram would then take a different approach to Becketts in comparison to Lloyd, using the better exit on the run to Brooklands to take second place.

Only a lap later, Ingram charges towards Hill for the lead, but the BMW would manage to defend into Luffield keeping the lead temporarily. But only a couple corners later on lap three, Ingram would repeat what he done to Lloyd to take the lead before even reaching the braking point into Brooklands.

Meanwhile, Sutton would make some gains of his own as he passes Shedden and then dives up the inside of Lloyd to claim third. He then begins to hunt down Hill while leaving the rest of the group behind him. Sutton on the mediums in comparison to Ingram on the softs, will have the opportunity to use the softs in race three.

The battle for eighth would see Morgan defending from the BMW's of Moffat and Rainford while Chilton applies pressure as well. Moffat and Rainford would fight across the whole of lap seven as Rainford would move up to ninth. Chilton followed through to pass Moffat and then started to attack Rainford into Luffield before contact broke the Hyundai's suspension and he went into the barriers. This would result in a Safety Car and bring the field back together.

The race would resume on lap fourteen as Ingram would pull away on the soft tyres while the rest of the field battle it out. Morgan would make contact causing his bonnet to come open and he would have to go into the pits. Proctor would lose out three places in the first couple of laps after Árón Taylor-Smith, Rainford and Moffat would all get passed. Proctor would continue to drop down the order throughout the rest of the race.

Sutton would make a big dive into Brooklands on Hill to sail passed with the extra boost he had. Rowbottom would put Hill under pressure a lap later, trying to make his way passed but Hill managed to defend against the NAPA that time around.

Rainford would attack both Lloyd and Shedden as they battle into Copse. Lloyd held the line as Shedden was forced out wide allowing Rainford to fly passed the Toyota. Rainford would then set up another move against Lloyd having a better exit into Luffield and then completed the move through Copse to take sixth. Suddenly, Rowbottom would encounter an issue on lap twenty three meaning he had to pull into the pits and out of the points.

Ingram would come home to take victory and extend his championship lead ahead of Sutton and Hill who finished second and third. Taylor-Smith would finish fourth ahead of Rainford and Lloyd as they finish fifth and sixth. Lloyd also yet again takes victory in the Independents drivers standings with another excellent drive. Shedden finished in seventh while Moffat, Cook and Daryl DeLeon complete the top ten.

Five time F1 race winner John Watson would pick out the ball twelve for the random grid draw meaning Ingram would start from twelfth on the grid with Sutton in eleventh. Sam Osborne will start from pole ahead of Mikey Doble and DeLeon.
