Aiden Moffat and LKQ Euro Car Parts will make the switch to Power Maxed Racing for the 2026 BTCC Season.

Joining the BTCC in 2013 at just 17 years of age, Moffat has had a fairly successful career in the series, claiming points in his second and third race weekends in the back end of the season before moving to Laser Tools Racing for 2014. After a year of learning with Laser Tools in the Chevrolet Cruz, the team switched to the Mercedes-Benz A-Class for 2015 which saw a big improvement of results for him.

He would claim his first podium in the BTCC at Knockhill that season as well as some solid points finishes. 2016 would see him repeat the same feat but with a second place in the final race of the season and a more consistent year overall. 2017 would see Moffat claim his maiden victory in the BTCC with a win at Donington Park before following it up later that year with a second win at the Brands Hatch finale. He would claim two more wins and seven further podiums across the following five seasons with Laser Tools Racing with consistent points scored across each season.

From 2023, he would leave Laser Tools Racing for One Motorsport and claim a podium with the team at Thruxton before partnering with LKQ Euro Car Parts for 2024 to join Toyota and Speedworks Motorsport. The switch would immediately prove to be good with a win in the opening weekend at Donington Park before a further podium at Snetterton two race weekends later. After a solid season claiming points in all but three races he finished, Moffat and LKQ Euro Car Parts would jump ship to BMW and WSR for 2025. While it didn’t yield the same level of success in terms of single race results as the previous season did, it proved he was consistently scoring points every weekend without a single retirement all season. He would end the season scoring a higher points tally than 2024 despite going without a podium all season, a consistent string of results showed he’s a good pair of hands behind the wheel.

Heading into 2026 Moffat and LKQ Euro Car Parts join Power Maxed Racing in a new partnership racing the Audi A3 Saloon with testing a development already underway.

With the announcement, Aiden Moffat said: It’s about time? We’ve been talking about this longer than a Scottish winter! Honestly though, I’m so happy we could finally make it happen. Adam backed me when I was just a young lad starting out, so to come full circle and get in a PMR car now, it just feels right. Combining this with LKQ Euro Car Parts, who I have also had a long relationship with, is something very special. I haven’t been this excited since my BTCC debut.”

Power Maxed Racing Team Principal, Adam Weaver, said: “We’ve known Aiden and his family for a long time. Backing his debut all those years ago and now bringing him into a Power Maxed Racing car feels like things have come full circle. He’s achieved a lot already, but we genuinely believe the best is still to come.”
