BTCC: Power Maxed Racing continue to push forward heading into Snetterton

Power Maxed Racing continue to look ahead to Snetterton with strong hopes after successful competitive running of their new Audi S3 Saloon to start the season.

The Power Maxed Racing squad started the season with a lot of uncertainty, after their facilities burnt down last year with some help from TOCA, Un-Limited Motorsport and the Patterson family they were able to complete last year with two Cupra León’s. However, heading into 2026 they needed a new car in which they brought with them three new Audi S3 Saloon’s to run in the championship. The last time the team had run anything other than a Vauxhall Astra before the 2025 season was back in 2015 and 2016 with the Chevrolet Cruze meaning this is the first time in a decade they would be starting development on a completely different car.

Despite this, the team went into the opening weekend of the season very competitive and without a doubt in the running for a podium at some point on Sunday. All three drivers of Mikey Dole, Aiden Moffat and Dexter Patterson qualified in the top ten before an excellent opening race from Doble saw his cross the line in second place behind Tom Ingram in an impressive result for the team. However, he would not remain second but in fact inherit the win after Ingram’s Hyundai was disqualified for an overboost infringement.

The rest of the weekend would see surplus points for the whole Power Maxed squad with a sixth-place finish in race one and two fourth place finishes for Moffat as well as three top seven finishes for Patterson in an excellent haul of points for the team. This would give Moffat the lead of the Independent Driver’s standings as well as Power Maxed Racing the lead in the Independent Teams Championship. Furthermore, Patterson would leave Donington Park with the lead in the Jack Sears Trophy in what was on excellent weekend for the team.

Brands Hatch would continue to show the teams excellent speed and consistency in the car with Doble taking another podium in the final race of the weekend as well as being competitive all weekend with three top ten finishes. Moffat and Patterson would also score more points for the team as the car looked to continue it’s form on two completely different circuits and in two very different types of weather conditions. The team continue to lead both the Independent championships while Patterson just loses out to the lead in the Jack Sears Trophy by five points to James Dorlin.

A solid start to the season for Power Maxed Racing sees them second in the overall teams’ standings with Doble sitting third in the standings and Moffat only eleven points behind in sixth place as they look towards Snetterton with an eye on bagging more podiums and wins while they are in a very competitive window at this stage in the season. The pair currently hold a one-two in the Independent drivers’ standings with the team extending their lead in the Independents championship. Patterson continues to show strong form sitting in eleventh in the standings and fighting with Dorlin for the Jack Sears Trophy and looks to be a strong contender for good results throughout the remainder of the season.
