After an excellent pole yesterday from Jake Hill, he would go on to take the first win of the day at Brands.
Hill started from pole ahead of Charles Rainford and Adam Morgan. The BMW's would get a solid start holding positions with Tom Ingram getting up to third passing Morgan off the line.
Sutton would make his way up a couple of places into the top 10 in the opening laps despite being in the hard tyre while Moffat, who started from the back, made places also.
Rainford would keep with Hill taking the fastest lap of the race as the Rookie kept the reigning champion under immense pressure all while dealing with Ingram and Morgan who was putting the BMW's on edge for the whole race.
Lloyd would then gain a 5 second time penalty for a false start ultimately costing him at the end of the race. Moffat on his charge would end up going sideways through Paddock Hill Bend losing him a place.
1.8 seconds covered the top four as they went into the final third of the race with Rainford fended off the Hyundai's exceptionally well. Meanwhile Nic Hamilton would have an off at the final corner leading to his retirement the following lap.
However, the BMW pace was just too strong in race 1 as Jake Hill would take his first win of the season putting him and BMW back on track after a difficult Donighton.
Rainford would finish runner up to his teammate while Ingram would round out the podium keeping Morgan behind for 4th. Dan Cammish would round out the top 5 after pulling away from Doble in 6th who wins the Independents race.
Daryl DeLeon would come home in 7th ahead of Sam Osborne, Dan Lloyd and Ash Sutton who rounds out the top 10.
With race 2 starting with the finish positions from race 1 and changes to the boost, can Jake do the double for the second race of the day or will someone take that opportunity away from him?
