Shedden maintains lead as Josh Cook goes deep at the chicane on the opening lap, losing a position to Jake Hill in the process. Meanwhile, Chris Smiley would have an issue which would force him to come to the stop.

Cook and Hill continue to fight across the rest of the lap with Hill just about keeping hold of second. Cook would end up continuing to hound Hill before again outbraking himself to end up in the gravel and dropping himself to the back of the field.

Cammish and Proctor would begin to fight on lap 4 and would make slight contact which allows Sutton to pass Cammish before overtaking Proctor for 4th place making great inroads from 9th on the grid.

Shedden would continue to lead out front on lap 6 from Hill, Rowbottom and a charging Sutton as the Toyota comes under pressure all while Tom Ingram was struggling ending up going wide and cutting the chicane, having to allow James Dorlin passed in the process.

Max Hall would end up in the gravel on lap 7 which would end up causing a Safety Car to be deployed as he cannot get out the gravel.

Once the race goes green again, Rowbottom would try and make a move on Hill into turn 1 before Sutton got a tremendous run passing his teammate and almost passing the BMW in the process. Further back, Tom Chilton would collide with Mikey Doble's Astra throwing the Independent driver across the road and into the barrier. This would cause another Safety Car to be deployed haulting the action.

The race would get underway but an incident involving Nic Hamilton took him out the race as well as a parked Jelley a bit further along. Racing would continue as fighting between Dorlin and Charles Rainford would allow Ingram to find his way by for 7th place. Rainford would get by for 8th place meaning he had gained 17 places in 15 laps.

Fighting out front would resume as Sutton and Hill would make minor contact and Ingram would make another place, passing Dan Cammish for 6th. Later that lap, Ingram would also make his way to 5th place.

On the penultimate lap, Hill would go deep at turn 2 dropping him to the back if the lead group. The final lap would see Ingram put Rowbottom under immense pressure but the NAPA driver would put on an excellent defense.

Shedden would go on to take the race win and the first of his win since his return to the BTCC ahead of Sutton. Rowbottom would finish on the podium ahead of Ingram and Proctor.

Cammish would remain ahead of Hill in 6th and 7th while Dorlin would finish 8th after repassing Rainford late on in the race. Sam Osborne would round out the top 10.

This would give Sutton an 11 point lead in the standings over Ingram and a 72 point gap over Cammish. Rowbottom would be 2 points further back while Hill is 5th in the standings.

The Independents Championship would see Smiley maintain his championship lead over Cook by 12 points. Mikey Doble sits 3rd in the standings ahead of both Lloyd and Jelley.

The Jack Sears Trophy would see Daryl DeLeon lead the way ahead of teammate Rainford and NAPA's Osborne. Ronan Pearson, despite his absence from the BTCC this weekend sits fourth in the trophy, nine points clear of Dorlin.
