After starting from 4th on the grid, Sutton would bounce back to win the second race of the day.
At the start, Sutton would jump from 4th to 2nd immediately at the first turn and was immediately hunting championship rival Tom Ingram for the lead. Adam Morgan would also have a solid opening lap going from 6th to 3rd.
Sutton would make his move on lap 2 for the lead dropping Ingram second. Morgan would follow Sutton by passing his Team Vertu teammate for second. Tom Chilton would also find his way by Ingram as well dropping the Hyundai to 4th.
Not long after this, a Safety Car would be deployed due to Dan Lloyd crashing into the barrier. Once the green flag was thrown once more, Charles Rainford and Gordon Shedden would make contact sending the BMW into the battier himself but managed to keep it running.
Further towards to front, Ingram would have to defend against Jake Hill for 4th place as the soft tyre running BMW is trying to find his way by the hard tyre running Hyundai. But, Ingram would manage to defend hard and keep hold of 4th.
But out in the lead, Sutton would not be denied and take victory in race 2 of the day from Morgan and Chilton. Ingram and Hill would finish 4th and 5th while Dan Rowbottom, who had made his way through the field, would finish 6th.
Josh Cook would finish 7th and take the win in the Independent championship as Senna Proctor, Shedden and Dan Cammish would complete the top 10.
The race 3 lottery draw was done by the legendary Steve Rider in his last weekend of television and chose number 9 meaning Shedden would start from pole position.
