BTCC: Sutton leads early in practice at Thruxton

The BTCC moves to Thruxton for the 4th race weekend of the season which sees Ash Sutton top the times in the opening practice session.

A relatively quiet session in comparison to FP1's in previous race weekends this year would see Josh Cook lead the times in the first half of the session from Tom Chilton and Dan Rowbottom before the times started coming down quickly.

This would lead to Sutton putting in a storming lap time to go fastest by 6 tenths of a second over the BMW pairing of Aiden Moffat and reigning champion Jake Hill. The pairing would be closely followed by the Restart Racing of Dan Lloyd and Team Vertu's Tom Chilton as the Hyundai's round out the top 5.

Charles Rainford and Dan Cammish would finish the session 6th and 7th fastest ahead of Gordon Shedden, Dan Rowbottom and the returning Senna Proctor who completes the session 10th fastest in the times.
