Ash Sutton storms to race two victory at Oulton Park with dominant drive.

Dan Cammish started on pole ahead of Josh Cook and Tom Ingram who all had to start on the hard compound of tyres after finishing on the podium in race one. Aron Taylor-Smith started behind them in fourth ahead of Aiden Moffat, Mikey Doble and Sutton who starts in seventh place.

Cammish would get the best start having a clear run into the first turn while Ingram and Cook would fight it out over second place. Ingram would manage to get passed for second all while Sutton would make his way passed both Moffat and Doble off the start. Taylor-Smith would find his way passed Cook and then not long after this, Sutton would make his way into fourth into the final corner.

Sutton would gain another place passing Taylor-Smith after the Toyota ran wide which now gives him clear sights of Ingram. Sutton would try a massive dive into the final corner, but Ingram covered him off with a better drive through the corner. Ingram’s hold over second would be lost only moments later after an excellent run out of the first turn by Sutton would allow him to fly passed the Hyundai. Sutton would quickly pass his teammate of Cammish to take the lead of the race by the end of lap three.

A battle between Taylor-Smith and Tom Chilton would end in disaster on lap four as contact between the two would end up causing the Hyundai to lose grip and spin off into the grass, just missing the barriers.

Lap five would see a train of cars following Taylor-Smith in fourth place as Daryl De Leon would try and find a way passed the Toyota but to no avail as he would then be sent into the clutches of Doble and Gordon Shedden who tried to make their own way passed. Doble would manage to move up to fifth place in all this, but Shedden would be unable to muscle his way by the BMW. The race would continue between the quartet allowing Deter Patterson, Chirs Smiley, Ricky Collard and Charles Rainford to get involved.

While the drivers behind fight, the hard tyre running Cammish and Ingram had built a massive gap between themselves and the soft running drivers, reducing the effect the hard tyre deficit had. Back in the pack behind, Smiley would lose out at Hislop to Collard giving the Team Vertu Hyundai ninth place. Meanwhile, the front of this pack would see Taylor-Smith would come under pressure from De Leon, who had made his way back passed Doble before this, but he caught a puddle on the outside of the hairpin losing him his momentum.

On lap twelve, De Leon would finally make a break through, passing Taylor-Smith at the final corner and now setting off after Cammish and Ingram who started fighting on the following lap with a late braking move by Ingram into the final corner to finally take away second place.

Taylor-Smioth would be unable to maintain his fifth place, dropping behind Doble and teammate Shedden to move into seven. He would have a bit of space though as Collard would manage to find his way alongside Patterson into Hislop and take eighth for himself.

Further up the road, it would start to rain in the final section of the circuit on the last lap. However, Sutton would get through without issue to take victory in race two. Ingram would finish second ahead of Cammish in third. De Leon would finish fourth ahead of Doble and Shedden. Taylor-Smith would finish seventh ahead of Collard and Patterson while Charles Rainford would manage to sneak into the top ten.
