BTCC: TOCA unveil 2026 calendar

The 2026 BTCC schedule has been announced with a lot of the season remaining the same but a couple differences.

The opening round will remain at Donighton Park National Circuit but has been moved to be a week earlier than the year prior before going to Brands Hatch Indy for the second round. Snetterton would remain the third round before heading to Oulton Park a couple of weeks later. The summer break will take place earlier than in 2025 to ensure it does not clash with the World Cup across June and July. It also provides all the teams a less frantic start to the season.

Thruxton will now take place in the summer holidays in July before the second half of the season. The BTCC will head to Knockhill in Scotland at the start of August before returning to Donighton Park at the end of the month using the Grand Prix loop. The following event would be at Croft at the start of September before heading to Silverstone’s National Circuit for the penultimate round of the season. The finale of the season will take place at Brands Hatch GP once again in October.

Alan Gow, BTCC Chief Executive, said: “The 2026 British Touring Car Championship calendar enjoys the tried and tested format from previous seasons, but with a slightly different flow of events to look forward to.

“It is a very busy summer in the sporting calendar, particularly with the football World Cup, which presents ITV with some clashing commitments. However, it also gave us an opportunity to make some tweaks to the schedule, which includes the shift in dates to the likes of Thruxton and Croft.

“Once again, releasing the calendar to our teams, support races, stakeholders and the public this early is advantageous for all in forward-planning, whilst it also benefits the rest of the motorsport pyramid in the UK as they can also schedule their events with these dates in mind.”
