BTCC: Àròn Taylor-Smith joins Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport for 2026

The first of the two driver lineup for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport has been announced with Àròn Taylor-Smith joining the squad.

Racing with Toyota and Speedworks throughout 2025, the Irishman will continue to race in the Corolla for 2026 but sporting new colours for the upcoming season as the team begins to take shape.

At 326 starts, Taylor-Smith as accumulated twenty-one podiums since his debut in 2011, four of those being race wins, and as one of the most experienced drivers on the grid and a former Independents champion, looks to drive thie new era for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport forward.

The team and Taylor-Smith enter a new stage in their time in the BTCC as they begin a partnership filled with tons of experience and knowledge.

After signing with the team, Àròn Taylor-Smith said: “Today’s announcement is a major step in my BTCC career and I cannot thank my loyal partners enough for their support in making this happen. I have appreciated all that Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport have achieved within the paddock from afar and it is exceptional. Their attention to detail both on and off track has made this the perfect recipe for me and what I hope to provide me my long-term home in the championship.
