Patterson was announced earlier today as the second driver for Un-Limited Motorsport for the upcoming BTCC season. He will be joining 2024 Mini JCW Championship Rookie Cup winner Max Hall completing the teams line-up for 2025. Both drivers will be contesting for the Jack Sears Trophy alongside the Independent Championships for the team.

After a nine year stint in karting where he would find success winning multiple championships including the Super 1 National Championship in the IAME Cadet class in 2015 as well as the CIK-FIA World Championship in 2017. Patterson then began racing in Formula 4 in 2020 competing in the UAE and Italian Formula 4 Championships. He would then move over to the GB3 Championship where in an eight race campaign would score his first podium since karting.

In 2022 he made his debut in the BTCC with Laser Tools Racing in the Infiniti Q50, having a best finish of 14th twice. He would then move to the Team HARD outfit for 2023 driving a Cupra. He would claim a best finish of 6th in race three at Knockhill with consistent points finishes throughout the year.

After taking a year out of the BTCC where he would compete in the GT4 European Series, Patterson returns for 2025 in an effort with Un-Limited Motorsport to bring themselves forward after having another year of experience under his belt.

With a new contract and confidence heading into 2025, Patterson said: “I’m excited to be back on the BTCC grid after spending a year racing GT4 in Europe. Having already competed in two BTCC seasons, I have a strong understanding of the championship and the driving style required to succeed.

"My main goal for 2025 is to extract the maximum performance from every event on the calendar, with a particular focus on the Jack Sears Trophy. Of course, a few podiums along the way would be fantastic, too."

“It feels great to be returning to BTCC, as there’s definitely unfinished business. With every season, I gain more experience, which will only help in such a close and competitive championship. My goal now is to quickly adapt the car to suit my driving style and continue pushing it forward to get the most out of it.”
