The Mahiki Racing squad have announced that they will be running a GT3 programme for the full 2026 season as Josh Rowledge has been announced to be driving alongside Team Owner Steven Lake.

Mahiki Racing ran GT4’s last year, starting out with the Lotus Emira GT4 in the first few races before switching to Ginetta G56’s for the second half of the season. It ran three cars in the class and announced its intentions late last year that it will join the GT3 class for the season finale racing the McLaren 720S GT3 Evo. It has now announced the team will make its full season debut in the GT3 class with the 720S GT3 Evo in an exciting new chapter for the team.
Their drivers are a new pairing in British GT, Lake, who raced in the GT4 class the last two seasons, competed with Mahiki last season claiming second and third in class at the Oulton Park rounds to finish tenth in the standings, despite missing the penultimate round at Brands Hatch and racing in the GT3 class with Mahiki for the finale. Meanwhile, Rowledge competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia in 2025 where he would claim an overall podium and sixth in the standings and third in the Street Cup Championship. Rowledge has previously competed in British GT back in 2023, driving the McLaren Artura in GT4. He would claim four podiums that season with Aston Millar to claim fifth in the standings.
After signing with the team, Josh Rowledge said: “After competing in the British GT Championship in 2023 with the McLaren GT4 and stepping up to GT3 competition in 2024, I feel I’ve built a really solid foundation at this level. Racing extensively in Asia last season was a huge part of my development, pushing me in new environments and accelerating my learning both on and off the track.
“Joining Mahiki Racing is incredibly exciting for me. The team has shown real ambition and professionalism, and I’m confident we have everything in place to be competitive from the very start. I’m fully focused on working closely with the engineers and crew to extract the maximum from every session, and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together this season.
“I’d also like to say a huge thank you to my sponsors, GB Technologies, Rescue rod and We Trade, for their continued support. Their belief in me makes this opportunity possible, and I’m proud to be representing them as we head into an exciting season ahead.”
Team Owner and co-driver, Steven Lake, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Josh to Mahiki Racing for the upcoming season. He’s shown impressive progression over the past few years, stepping up through the British GT ranks and gaining valuable experience internationally. His pace, professionalism, and approach to racing really stood out to us, and I’m confident he’ll be a great fit within the team.
“On a personal note, it’s a real privilege for me to be racing alongside Josh this season. I also had the privilege of having Josh race for my karting team many years ago when he was a young driver, competing in Cadets. To see the journey he’s been on since then, build such a successful career, and now come full circle to be my team-mate, is something I’m incredibly proud to be a part of.
“As a team, Mahiki Racing is focused on continuing to push forward, building momentum, and delivering strong performances on track while growing professionally off it. We’re hugely excited about what lies ahead and can’t wait to get the season underway.”
