The Legends series returned to Brands Hatch for a Saturday of racing as Will Gibson would take a double victory during the day.

Gibson would be fastest in the qualifying practice session where he would go on to draw second on the grid. He would storm by Matt Knight off the start going around the outside of Paddock Hill Bend. Stephen Treherne would also get by Knight almost going into the back of Gibson. The gap between Gibson and Treherne was close, and their rivals of Tyler Read, Oli Schlup and Chris Needham was minimal as well.
Read would make the move for the lead on lap 3 as the rest of the top 5 continued to squabble throughout the mid distance point. Knight’s race would go from bad to worse as he would end up in the gravel. Needham would then make the charge to the front to take the lead with just two laps to go. With the top 4 separated by almost nothing, Read’s chances of victory would end with contact on the GP loop leaving Needham, Schlup and Gibson to fight for victory. On the final lap, Gibson would make the move to take the lead from Schlup and Needham while Treherne and Connor Mills complete the top 5 in Heat One.
With the grid reversed from the drawer earlier on for Heat Two, David Bonser would take pole position ahead of Mills. Mills would almost immediately jump the pole sitter while Nathan Anthony would also pass Bonser at the start while Mills took a 1.7 advantage after the 1st lap. A Safety Car would be called at the start of lap 3 as Heat One winner Gibson and Ross Marshall would need to be retrieved from the gravel after colliding at Stirlings.
The race would get back under way on lap 5 with Mills leading the way but came under pressure from Needham and Read behind. Read would take the lead on lap 7 as the top 4 were separated by almost nothing on the final 2 laps. On the final lap of the race, Mills would take the lead at Hawthorn and would hold it until the finish line. Read would finish 2nd ahead of Treherne and Needham who all finish within a tenth of one another.
The Finals would see Marshall start off with an early lead before Peter Barrable became stranded across the circuit during the opening lap causing a Safety Car. The race would resume on lap four with Marshall leading from Knight and Nick Bridgeman while behind the podium runners Schlup and Read were 5th and 6th. Gibson would be in 8th while Needham and Mills were in 10th and 15th respectively.
Knight would take the lead into Druids before Schlup would jump ahead of him on lap five. Gibson, who had come through the pack himself, was on a charge against Schlup to take the lead into Clearways before heading onto the 7th lap. Read would also pass Schlup and make his way into second. However, heading towards Hawthorn, Read’s car would let-go which in turn ended his chances of points. Gibson would go on to take victory from Schlup while Needham completed the podium. Mills would just miss out on the podium by less than half a tenth in another fantastic drive from the entire top 4.
This would leave Mills to take the championship lead over Schlup while Read would drop to third, just ahead of Gibson in 4th. Jack Parker would round out the top 5 in points just clear of Needham in 6th.
